Charming Atmosphere with Room for Improvement
I truly appreciated the charming atmosphere and unique decor during my stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and provided exceptional service at breakfast, which featured a good selection. the room was a bit cramped and the shower pressure fluctuated, which was somewhat disappointing.

The Duxford Lodge offers a warm, inviting atmosphere. My room, the Superior Studio, featured a lovely quirky decor and a very comfy bed. Staff proved exceptionally friendly, addressing every query with enthusiasm. I enjoyed delightful dinners both nights with locally sourced ingredients, and breakfast boasted generous portions cooked to order. A nice touch was the complimentary filter water and coffee machine in the room. Unfortunately, the room got quite warm. it could use some air conditioning to alleviate the discomfort. I also noticed that the sofa bed wasn’t cozy at all—it felt too firm for a good night's rest. Despite these downsides, the hospitality and food quality stood out greatly. It really feels like a standout place in the Duxford area.

Charming historic building with beautiful gardens. Service was frustratingly slow, especially during dinner. Great cocktails at the bar. Make sure to check room ventilation. ours felt stuffy. nice stay.

It was a decent choice for a short weekend trip in Duxford with good value for money. The staff at reception were polite, even if their English was not great. Consider dining at the nearby Plough pub for fantastic food and service.

this place is really pretty and has nice decor. the staff were super helpful and kind. we had some amazin cocktails in the bar which were lovely! the king room we stayed in was comfy and warm. overall, it was a nice stay.
the shower head was impossible to control and the water pressure was all over the place. breakfast could’ve been better, like they should add baked beans!

The King Room boasts a well-proportioned space with a clean, adequately prepared bathroom. Gardens surrounding the hotel create a tranquil escape, adding to the overall charm of the stay.
The entrance hallway felt cramped, making access a bit of a hassle, especially if you're carrying luggage. Upon arrival, the room was overheated and required a temperature adjustment. The handbasin is surprisingly small, and the combination tap is too large for the sink's size. Wallpaper behind the bed was peeling, and screws were left exposed where a trouser press had been removed, which didn’t sit well with the room's aesthetics. On top of that, paying £5 for internet access seemed a bit steep.

We had a lovely stay, and the garden was perfect for our family, especially with our little baby. The staff were incredibly accommodating, offering us extra amenities to make our visit comfortable. The room was spacious enough for all of us, which we appreciated.
My children wished for more child-friendly dining options.

I gotta say, the staff were so welcoming, like it was family. They even let us check in early and didn't bat an eye when I needed a special request due to my feather allergy, switching out the duvet without a hustle. The food in the restaurant? Worth every penny, especially that Churchill burger I had, mouthwatering.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but honestly, you get what you pay for.
